Just after Xia Chuyi left, a staff member led a young man and woman to Professor Baoâs place.
"Mr. Jackson, Miss Annie, this is Professor Baoâs residence," the staff member said, pointing to the house where Professor Bao lived.
Annie looked at the residence from left to right for a good while before nodding her head.
It was a barely sufficient sign of approval for Professor Baoâs living situation.
Jackson, who was standing beside her, was concerned with a different issue from his sisterâs. He asked the staff member, "Why arenât my Third Uncle and the others living in the Bao Mansion?"
Annie, hearing this, also eagerly asked, "Yes, why arenât my Third Uncle and his family staying in the Bao Mansion?"
"I heard Daddy and Mommy say that the Bao Mansion is very grand and luxurious, just like a palace!" Annie said, slightly excited.
The guide was an educator from Kyoto University.
This educator, who understood English, naturally also heard the blatant greed in Annieâs words.
The educator inwardly disdained Annie but did not show it on the outside, responding dispassionately, "Iâm not sure about that matter."
"After all, I am just an ordinary educator at Kyoto University and not aware of some of Professor Baoâs private affairs."
Annie, hearing the educatorâs response, immediately pouted, "You donât even know that, the quality of reception is really poor!"
The educatorâs face changed at her words.
Seeing this, Jackson quickly said, "Sorry, my sister didnât mean anything by it!"
"We just wanted to know if my Third Uncle has been doing well over these years."
"After all, as the younger generation, we should care more for our elders."
Upon their arrival, the educator excused himself, "Mr. Jackson, Miss Annie, I have some matters to attend to, so I should be going."
"If you have any more questions, you can find me at the History Department office."
"Goodbye." The educator nodded politely and left the Bao Family premises.
"Z-country people are really too impolite!" Annie exclaimed in dissatisfaction as soon as the educator left, "How could he just leave us, two esteemed guests, and walk away?"
"Annie, just be quiet for a bit," Jackson rebuked her. Then he looked around and said, "This is Kyoto University, there are many people who speak English, you have to be careful about what you say."
"Do you really want to be deported?"
Hearing Jacksonâs words, Annie reluctantly closed her mouth.
Jackson continued, "Annie, donât forget the purpose of our trip to Z-country. We have to focus on Third Uncle."
"Third Uncle doesnât have children. We need to work hard to make Third Uncle like us, so we can get his share of the inheritance."
Annie said nothing more.
Then, both of them put on a well-behaved appearance and entered Professor Baoâs courtyard, knocking on the door.
