Chapter 79: Experience Paradise, Best Dungeon Below Level 25
Time passed minute by minute.
An hour later, Lin Moyu still hadnât come out.
The people waiting outside were somewhat disappointed.
Many felt this was normal. Previously Lin Moyu had found a new method to set records, but his performance in Spiderâs Nest now was more typical.
"Even if he canât set a new record, being able to solo Nightmare difficulty is already very strong."
"Indeed, but Spiderâs Nest is special. The difference between Normal and Nightmare difficulty isnât as big as other dungeons."
"Yes, at least the small spidersâ strength is the same, just more of them in Nightmare."
"Letâs disperse, there wonât be a new record this time."
Shu Han watched the dungeon entrance and listened to their discussion, but had a different view. She felt something was off, though she couldnât explain why.
Inside the dungeon, Lin Moyu had finally cleared the entire place.
"108 caves total, with small spiders in 60 of them."
"Not sure if itâs fixed or random."
"Iâll know next time I come in."
He checked his experience - now at level 18 (70%).
One dungeon run increased his experience by 70%.
And this was just the first time, completed while still unfamiliar.
The efficiency was really high. Lin Moyu believed next time heâd get the same experience in even less time.
"Time to check out the boss."
He went through cave after cave towards the deepest part of the dungeon.
Spiderâs Nest was very large, with 108 caves forming a maze-like map.
If Lin Moyu hadnât formed a complete map in his mind, it would have taken ages to find the way.
Even so, it took another 10 minutes to reach the correct path deeper in.
There was an entrance sealed by thick spider webs.
The skeleton warriors hacked at the webs with their blades.
The webs were extremely tough and hard to cut through.
It wasnât that the skeleton warriors werenât trying hard enough, but they just werenât suited for it.
If a mage were here, their attacks could easily clear the webs.
After hacking for a full five minutes, the skeleton warriors finally cleared a path.
They went ahead with Lin Moyu following behind.
After passing through the tunnel, they finally reached the end of the dungeon.
In a huge cave, they saw the dungeon boss.
It was a giant spider with a body diameter of 7-8 meters.
Its eight legs spread out like pillars, each about 15 meters long.
The legs were covered in bristles that gleamed like steel.
Being scraped by one would likely mean death or severe injury.
As soon as Lin Moyu entered, the boss noticed him.
Lin Moyu summoned his skeleton warriors.
All 112 skeleton warriors charged forward with their blades.
He used Detection on the boss.
[Spider King (Boss-level Monster)]
[Level: 21]
[Strength: 5000]
[Agility: 3500]
[Spirit: 500]
[Constitution: 4000]
[Skills: Web Spit, Acid Spray, Whirlwind]
Its strength was higher than the Mutant Dragon Turtleâs, and agility was also higher, but constitution was lower.
It had three skills - Lin Moyu could guess the first two, but wasnât sure about Whirlwind.
The Spider King reacted, immediately spitting out a huge web.
Skill: Web Spit!
The skeleton warriors quickly dodged, but a few were caught in the descending web.
They were trapped, trying to cut through the web with their blades.
The web was surprisingly tough and hard to break.
The Spider King used Web Spit several more times, trapping over a dozen skeleton warriors.
By now the other skeleton warriors had reached its feet and started hacking.
Some leapt up 10 meters high towards its body.
The Spider King quickly retreated, trying to avoid the jumping skeleton warriors.
Suddenly a red flame flashed above its head and sank into its body.
The Spider King let out a miserable cry.
Then red light enveloped its head, forming a shackle symbol.
Its movement speed instantly halved.
Skill: Soul Fire!
Skill: Slow Curse!
Lin Moyu joined the battle, interrupting the Spider Kingâs actions and cursing it.
The skeleton warriors successfully jumped onto the Spider Kingâs body and activated their skills.
Skill: Berserk Strike!
The Spider Kingâs defense was far weaker than the Mutant Dragon Turtleâs. It was badly wounded by the skeleton warriorsâ fierce attacks.
It struggled frantically, its eight legs sweeping around like giant clubs.
Its mouth sprayed streams of foul-smelling green liquid.
Skill: Acid Spray!
The green liquid was highly corrosive. It sizzled on contact with the skeleton warriors, emitting wisps of smoke.
Lin Moyu sensed his skeleton warriors taking damage.
"Need to end this quickly!"
Lin Moyu thought as the skeleton warriors attacked more fiercely. He continued using Soul Fire to attack.
The Spider Kingâs injuries grew more severe. It finally let out a piercing scream.
Its whole body suddenly curled up, the eight giant legs coiling like a python.
The blade-like bristles on its legs faced outwards as the Spider King began spinning violently like a top.
Skill: Whirlwind
A fierce wind swept through the cave.
Any skeleton warriors hit were sent flying.
Cracks appeared in their bones - this skill was quite powerful.
After activating the skill, the Spider King charged at Lin Moyu at lightning speed.
A skeleton warrior quickly rushed to Lin Moyuâs side, grabbing him and leaping high to avoid the Spider Kingâs sweep.
After spinning three rounds, the Spider King finally stopped.
The skeleton warriors surrounded it again.
Though all the skeleton warriors were injured with cracked bones, it didnât affect their attack power.
Lin Moyu wasnât worried. He had seen level 1 skeleton warriors before - those were truly pitiful, like they were pulled from a garbage heap.
These were much better in comparison.
The sound of metal striking rang out in the cave again, accompanied by the Spider Kingâs screams.
Suddenly the Spider King leapt high, hanging upside down from the cave ceiling.
It let out sharp cries repeatedly.
The cave shook as holes appeared in the surrounding walls. Countless small spiders crawled out.
There were thousands of densely packed small spiders.
The Spider King dropped back down, like a king commanding its army.
Seeing this, Lin Moyu didnât panic at all. Instead, he smiled.
"Delivering themselves to death."
Soul Fire flashed past, instantly killing a small spider.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
...
The entire cave erupted like fireworks, with non-stop explosions.
Over a hundred explosions in succession.
The explosions only stopped when Lin Moyuâs spirit power was nearly exhausted.
The Spider King was on the verge of collapse, its giant legs covered in wounds and tattered flesh.
It didnât understand what had happened.
How had it been blasted to such a state?
Then the skeleton warriors moved in to deliver the final blow.
[Killed Spider King, Experience +190000]
[Obtained Silver-grade weapon: Spider Dagger]
[Obtained Low-grade Monster Crystal Core]
[Spider Dagger: Silver-grade, Agility +40, Constitution +40, Assassin skill power +8%, usable after level 20]
"When entering the dungeon, experience was less than 1%. Now itâs 81%."
"A complete dungeon run can increase experience by 80%."
"But it took too long - 1 hour 32 minutes. Canât break the record."
"Looks like I need to find a way to clear the dungeon directly. Setting a record gives points and contribution points, canât miss that."
Lin Moyu left the dungeon.
After 3 hours, there werenât many people left outside.
Unlike earlier when he set records and it was packed.
"You finally came out, classmate."
"Did you clear the dungeon?"
"Itâs okay if you didnât. This dungeon has a lot of monsters, itâs tiring to solo."
They were all being kind.
Everyone was a student of Summer Capital University, all classmates.
You never know when you might team up to run dungeons together.
People were usually friendly when meeting.
Lin Moyu said softly, "Thank you, I cleared it."
"Really?"
"You really cleared it?"
Lin Moyu nodded, "I cleared it."
"Thatâs amazing, classmate. You can actually solo Nightmare Spiderâs Nest."
"This dungeon gives a lot of experience and materials, but itâs not easy to clear."
"With so many monsters, only a mage like you could solo it."
Shu Han saw Lin Moyu was fine and let out a sigh of relief, "Iâm glad youâre okay."
