"This is the influencer-favorite candy store; all the candies here are completely natural, and theyāve got almost a hundred percent positive reviews on the internet," Jane Sampson said, her eyes sparkling with joy as she looked at the colorful wafer candy at the doorway, "Itās just as amazing as it looks in the photos!"
Jane Sampson walked around the wafer candy, then excitedly called James Black.
James Black didnāt answer the first call, but Jane Sampson patiently made a second call. As soon as James picked up, Jane shouted into the phone, "James Black! Iāve found the cyber-popular candy store! The candies here smell heavenly!"
Listening to the noisy background on the other end of the line, James Blackās eyebrows knitted slightly, "Are you still outdoors now? Havenāt you gone back to the hotel?"
"Not yet, not yet!" Jane Sampson yelled back cheerily, "Iām getting some candy to send back to Peter Gingery, to grandpa, to grandfather, to auntieāan all of them. The candies here are really pretty and smell amazing, the reviews online all say this candy storeās treats are exceptionally tasty, sweet but not cloying, and they donāt have any of those weird additives either!"
"Then youāre not allowed to eat too much," James Black felt he needed to put this out there before the excited Jane on the other side might impulsively declare her intention to try every flavor of the candies.
"I wonāt overindulge," Jane Sampson replied obediently, "Didnāt you give me two lollipops? I wonāt eat them today, but can I eat the ones I buy from the store today? Iāll save the ones you bought me for tomorrow, is that okay~?"
As Jane Sampson uttered those last few āis that okay~?ā her voice softened significantly, full of coquettish charm, as if she was flirtatiously pleading.
James Black from the guard team could almost picture Jane Sampson in the colorful candy shop, her gaze filled with sparkle, her mood so cheerful, and so, as she spoke, she couldnāt help but act coquettishly.
After waiting a while without a response from James, Jane Sampson prodded from the other end, "Lord Chief, do you approve or not, give me a sign!"
"Hmm," James Blackās voice carried a trace of a smile, "I approve."
"Then Iām buying it!" Jane Sampsonās voice brimmed with excitement over the phone; the next second there was the dial tone as she efficiently ended the call.
After putting away her mobile phone, Jane turned around and said to the waiter next to the gate entrance, pointing at the giant lollipop, "I want to buy this! Pack it up for me and Iām getting some more stuffāyou guys help me express deliver them."
After that, Jane Sampson, with Coco Edwards in tow, squeezed into the shop. Coco, though reluctant to enter before, started buying candy with more zest than Jane once she was inside.
The two of them spent a full half an hour in the candy shop alone, and after they had paid, they didnāt go anywhere else but took their newly acquired treasures and hailed a car back to the hotel.
"Coco, come here for a sec," Jane Sampsonās room was right next to Coco Edwardsās. After swiping her room card, Jane invited Coco in. Once the door was closed, Jane handed her mobile phone to Coco, saying, "Help me take a couple of photos with my lollipop."
"Little Jane, I still donāt get why you bought this lollipop," Coco Edwards muttered as she took the phone, but the woman on the other side who was already hugging the lollipop and flashing a big smile while striking poses clearly didnāt hear her question.
