Alexander Forestās use of the word "boring" was primarily aimed at his cousin, Kane Forest, and his friend, James Black.
Seeing James Black still with his eyes closed, Alexander Forest thought James had not yet awoken. He turned his body and gestured for Jane Sampson to come closer. When Jane leaned in, he whispered, "Marrying James Black, facing this wooden man every day, donāt you find it particularly boring?"
Jane Sampson hadnāt had the chance to speak when the man beside her suddenly reached out and pulled her back, then firmly took her hand, his voice low and somewhat stinky, "Havenāt had enough talk?"
James Black didnāt want to know how Jane would respond to Alexander Forest at all.
After all, nothing particularly pleasing to him would come out of Janeās mouth.
"Hate that the flight was too short, didnāt get enough time to chat," Alexander Forest responded, pretending to be serious.
James Black swiftly glanced over at the person in front, his gaze sharp as a knife. Alexander Forest wisely kept his mouth shut.
Coco Edwards came to pick them up at the airport, and Jane Sampson and James Black split from the Forest brothers at the airport gate and got into the car arranged by Coco.
Although Coco knew that Jane was coming with company, she was still startled to see that it was a man.
"Who is this?" Coco had never seen James Black before, so she was extremely shocked to see a man holding Janeās hand so openly in public. Observing that Jane showed no trace of shyness, Coco surmised their relationship was very close, and had been for quite some time.
"Her husband," James Black answered Coco with three words.
Coco made an "Oh" sound and nodded her head. After nodding, she, sitting in the front, turned back around.
A few seconds later, she suddenly turned her head again to look at the two people in the rear seat.
"Husband?!" Coco finally realized what that man had replied to her just now.
She had subconsciously assumed boyfriend, which was not surprising since itās normal for a girl Janeās age to have one. Given Janeās late debut and a boyfriend from before her career, it was common to still be in a good relationship.
But, husband!
What sort of mythical creature was this?
"Mm-hmm," Jane giggled and nodded at Coco.
Coco raised her hand and smacked her forehead, "Really, such a big surprise and a shock."
However, as a competent assistant, Coco didnāt show too much curiosity or other emotions. After speaking, she turned her gaze back and said no more. She even refrained from deliberately scrutinizing the man by Janeās side.
Jane Sampson is managed by Rock Bell, the companyās leading agent. Itās said that Rock Bell and Jane Sampson are related, or something to that extent, so Coco didnāt need to pay much attention to Janeās private matters. After all, itās definite that Rock Bell, her agent, knew about Jane being married.
As an assistant, now that she knew, she knew. All she needed to do was to keep this secret from being discovered.
In the next two days of her schedule, she had to help Jane cover up more, especially since the film premiere would be held here and the city recently attracted many national media reporters.
The Black Family owns property in Smytheton, so Jane Sampson and James Black didnāt stay at the hotel arranged by John Young. Coco had originally thought that it might be more troubling if Jane didnāt stay at the hotel.
