"James, I have a home, I have a home," All the grievances poured out at the sight of him, all her strength collapsed in an instant as well.
"Who said you have no home?" James patted Jane Sampsonās back gently, "Our home is your home, the Black Family is also your home. You live as my wife, James Black, and you die, as my soul, James Black. Whatever I have, you have, and even if I donāt have it, if you want it, I will make sure you have it."
It was then that Jane Sampson began to slowly stop crying, she slowly lifted her head, her eyes tear-filled as she gazed at James, seeing his serious expression, not a hint of deceit, and then she sniffled and asked, with a heavy cry in her voice, "Where did you go just now? Why didnāt you come in with me?"
"I went to buy some stuff." James hadnāt expected that in just a short while heād been away, Jane Sampson would have suffered so much grievance.
It was hard to know what the people of the Sampton family had said to her, to hurt such a strong-willed Jane Sampson so deeply.
"Youāre becoming more and more tearful," James kissed the corner of her eye, where the tear still hung, and looked down, "What did I tell you? You are my wife, James Blackās wife, and only others should give way to you, no one should aggrieve you."
Jane Sampson buried her face back in James Blackās arms, then gently rubbed her tears on his clothes, her voice muffled, "Iām hungry."
"Well, letās go home and eat," James patted Jane Sampsonās head, then nodded towards Bright Sampton and Grandparents Sampton, who had come out after them, and led Jane Sampson to the car.
They had initially planned to eat out to celebrate Valentineās Day, but after leaving the Sampton familyās home, they went straight to their own home.
Arriving at the underground parking lot, seeing that Jane Sampson was still feeling down, James thought for a moment and said, "Open the trunk, I bought you something and put it there."
Jane Sampson then glanced at James, half-doubtingly got out of the car, walked around to the back, and half-doubtingly opened the trunk.
Looking closely, it really was an addition to what knew she had left to find James with the guard team.
It was a bouquet of bright, dazzling roses.
Jane Sampson counted them, there were eleven in total.
"Is this what you snuck off to buy when you left me earlier?" Jane Sampson exclaimed joyfully as she picked up the bouquet, the forlorn expression on her face vanishing, replaced by one of surprise and happiness.
Holding the flowers, she happily ran back to James, "How did you think to go out and buy me flowers specially? When you didnāt come with me to the Sampton familyās home, I thought you despised them!"
"Plans changed, so I had to go to the nearby flower shop to buy them for you," Of course, the truth was James indeed did not care much for the people at Samptonās home, but if it were not for hiding the fact that he was buying flowers as a surprise gift for Jane Sampson, James, despite his disdain, would definitely have accompanied her in.
Later, when Jane Sampson had fallen asleep, he would still need to call Bright Sampton to inquire about what happened tonight at the Sampton familyās home.
"Like it?" Seeing Jane Sampson suddenly smiling so happily, Jamesās voice was irrevocably tinged with indulgence and a chuckle, he was truly afraid of her crying, afraid that she might spend the whole night upset over the Sampton familyās issues.
"A little bit," Jane Sampson held the flowers as if she could never let go, yet still pretended to gesture a ālittle bitā teasingly.
"Tch," Having gone through this many times, James was too lazy to expose Jane Sampsonās pretense and simply drew her into his arms, entered the elevator, and ascended to their apartment.
