Having said that, the personnel looked Jane Sampson up and down and then said with a laugh, "Miss. Sampson, you look quite nice today, the hairpin is very pretty, it adds a special ancient charm."
"Sister Bell must have given you a lot of candy, youâre too good at flattering people." Coco Edwards made a joke to the personnel and, after exchanging greetings, she went straight to the doorway to wait.
While Jane Sampson and Coco Edwards were sitting at the doorway waiting, a tall woman in high heels with a graceful stride came out. She looked unfamiliar, and as Jane was wondering who she was and which role she was auditioning for, the woman suddenly stopped in front of her and looked her up and down with a very disdainful gaze.
"Whatâs your relationship with Alexander Forest?" Amber Edwards, who had just come out, first noticed the two people sitting at the doorway. Having seen countless stars, she naturally recognized Jane Sampson immediately.
Of course, what made her stop to talk to this actor was the hairpin, which she had missed out on before and was now being worn by this woman.
Almost immediately after asking this question, Amber reached out and took the hairpin off Jane Sampsonâs head, examining it in the palm of her hand to see if it was a fake or the real thing.
As a newcomer actor who had made her debut over half a year ago, Amber didnât think that Jane Sampson could afford to buy this hairpin on her own.
"Miss, just taking what you please, isnât that a bit too much?" Even though Jane Sampson was generally soft-spoken, she couldnât just let someone grab something that James Black had given her.
Right then, Jane Sampsonâs expression turned cold as she reached out to snatch the hairpin back, but unexpectedly, the inexplicable woman in front of her took a couple of steps back with it.
"Whatâs your relationship with Alexander Forest?" Amber asked again, who didnât know that Alexander was a playboy, so it wasnât surprising for that thing to end up with another woman.
Amber glanced at Jane Sampson and speculated, or rather, could the investor behind Jane Sampson be that strange man who bought the hairpin that day?
But...
Who was that man? Amber considered herself as adept inside the circle as a fish is to water, yet she didnât have the slightest bit of information about this man.
It seemed that no one she knew from her circle of friends knew this man who had casually bought the hairpin.
"Do I need to tell you what my relationship with Alexander Forest is? Miss, donât you think your behavior is very impolite?" Jane Sampson was so angry she was nearly beside herself, and she reached out to the inexplicably condescending woman in front of her, "Please return my stuff to me."
"Name your price, I want it." Amber played with the hairpin in her hand. Before, she didnât know who snatched the hairpin away, and she thought she had lost the chance of getting it.
She never expected to see it again today, and worn by another woman, no less.
Amber sneered, there was nothing she, Amber Edwards, had set her eyes on that she couldnât get.
"Not for sale." Jane Sampson retorted, "Itâs my stuff, even if I donât want it, I would throw it away rather than sell it to you."
Tell me, Jane Sampson gestured with her eyes to Coco Edwards, who quickly grasped the signal and snatched the stuff from the other womanâs hand back.
Coco herself was astounded; she had never seen someone so brazenly entitled.
