Raven sat there on the floor, Dante’s head resting peacefully on her laps, as she caressed his white hair lovingly, an expression of warmth on her peerless face..

A majestic aura flooded the space as a man appeared.

Carrion Solaris, still clad in his immaculate gold tux, his piercing gold eyes took in the surroundings..

The devastated earth.

The marks of carnage carved into reality itself..

The air smelled of ozone, tasted like ash..

The atmosphere itself felt hostile.

Micheal Solaris stood beside his father, his gaze grim as he surveyed the surroundings..

He shivered the moment the wind touched his skin, his father quick to cover him from the hostile atmosphere..

Carrion’s gaze soon landed on raven’s figure, a strange light flashing within their depths as a warm and welcoming smile graced his lips..

"Raven... it’s been a long time" he spoke up, voice warm, almost as if addressing a friend.

Raven, having already donned her veil before their arrival, didn’t bother sparing him a glance, her gaze still fixed on Dante’s face..

"Speak to me in such an informal tone again and I’ll have your head" her voice came out flat..

Carrion’s expression shifted,

He concealed his inner thoughts behind a fake smile.

"I’m sorry if I upset you, I thought by now it’d be alright if I considered us friends, after all we two are the sole

Carrion gritted his teeth, his fake smile vanishing like snow meeting lava..

Before carrion could speak, an aged voice sounded out..

A figure appearing in the sky, an old man with a long beard, his expression that of an elder lecturing a youth..

"If honesty is what passes for disrespect around here, then forgive me but I’ll be disrespectful then" Raven replied, still not deigning to move her gaze from Dante..

The figure that had just appeared was rendered speechless.

Unable to do anything else, he turned his gaze towards Carrion, "I greet the city lord" he bowed respectfully, after all, not only was carrion the city lord, he was a respected

"Hmmm...guild master Rudolph" Carrion acknowledged softly, his expression recovering somewhat..

He was massive, standing at over 5 meters tall, his broad frame immediately cast an imposing shadow on everyone..

The aura he radiated putting everyone on edge, Carrion’s expression turned pale...

The man ignored everyone there, his gaze immediately landing on the creatures massive corpse, he stretched his arms, intent on taking the corpse with him.

He didn’t get to complete that task as every hair on his body stood on end..

Extreme danger!!!

His senses screamed at him.

Yet it was too late.

Space folded around the man’s outstretched arm, ripping the entire limb and his right ribs away, banishing them into the void..

The man only survived because he’d twisted his body fast enough, yet his current situation was dire..

He hurriedly distanced himself, his pale grim face turning toward raven for the first time, as he kept taking out potions and chugging them down..

"What did you do!!" He roared...

His face continued to pale, the wounds weren’t healing. Almost as if something was

the very concept of healing..

Dread crawled up his spine...

"Do you know who...." He couldn’t finish his threat.

Space folded around his head..

Crack!!!

The sound of something shattering and collapsing ringing out shortly after..

The area fell deadly silent...

The assembled crowed had already distanced themselves from the commotion..

Seein the way raven just dispatched of the man who’s aura made them all feel like they’re been plunged into a frozen cellar chilled their hearts...

The thought rang through all the minds gathered here..

There was a reason the bloody rose, despite being an all female guild had never had a case of harassment of their members.

And right at this moment, they’d all been reminded of just how fearsome she could be.

Carrion’s face turned grim..

he thought grimly..

"Now that I have all the rats gathered together, I have only a few instructions for you lot."

Raven’s voice rang out within the silence..

"First of all, you didn’t see anything here..

Secondly, you’re forbidden from ever speaking of anything you saw here.

If I do so much as here a word about the situation here, I’ll make sure to pay the culprit a visit..

Now. LEAVE!" Her voice rang out cold, final..

The crowd stood, bodies trembling in rage and embarrassment..

They were renowned figures, and yet, here they were being ordered and dismissed like mere nobodies?

"Raven..."

"I will not repeat myself, The next time I do, your fate shall be the same as that fool over there". Her voice cut off carrion’s protest..

"Sigh....alright then.." he acquiesced, not willing to fight a losing battle..

His form lifting into the skies, Micheal beside him..

His gaze hadn’t strayed from the figure within Raven’s embrace, his eyes darting from the creature’s corpse to Dante’s, his entire being fervently denying the possibilities his mind was conjuring..

"It’s impossible.. he’s merely and awakened E-rank trash, even with that woman’s assistance it’s impossible!!"

. His inner monologue continued as carrion whisked them both away..

The rest of the crowd slowly departed..

If even the strongest among them had withdrawn, did they dare stay? Of course not...

Soon the place was devoid of people, safe for raven and Dante..

"Sigh....

things are about to get complicated aren’t they?.." she whispered softly, complicated gaze leveled at the creature’s massive corpse.

She waved her hand and the corpse vanished...

Her form following soon after as space folded around her and she vanished.

Leaving behind a land that told not tales of men and monsters.

But of a clash reminiscent of the very forces of nature itself...
