Back in my room, I sat at my computer and realized something that hit me like a fucking freight train: I still hadn’t actually used the system’s exchange function. I’d been sitting on a literal fortune and was too much of a pussy to cash it out because of my old mindset and Mom’s previous restrictions about shady internet money.

But this is a new me, and those bullshit beliefs don’t control me anymore. Mom just gave me her blessing to make legitimate money with my skills.

Tommy was right—I was about to be the center of attention whether I wanted it or not. Madison had just declared war on Lincoln High’s social hierarchy, and somehow, I’d become her weapon of choice.

Good thing these people have no idea what I’m really capable of. And hat will stay that way for Peter Carter.

The irony was beautiful. While they were all fighting about whether I deserved Madison Torres, I was sitting on supernatural abilities that could change all their lives forever. Jack Morrison thought he was losing to regular Peter Carter—wait until he met the enhanced version.
