Chapter 58: The Three Musketeers 4
Seeing her expression, Cao Yongâs eyebrows twitched as he thought: Whatâs going on?
âYou know someone from my class?â Ren Chongda immediately interrogated his classmate.
âHow would I know?â Zhu Huicang jumped in fright, hastily denying, âDonât know them, absolutely donât know them. I have never met anyone from your class. The only thing is, I heard about some strange happenings in your class today at the hospital.â
Donât know them. The attractive eyes deep in Cao Yongâs eye sockets twinkled.
Ren Chongda pondered the various possibilities: âCould it be that you, Zhu Huicang, have finally become more handsome than Cao Yong?â
âWhat a joke, could I be more handsome than him?â Zhu Huicang was even more scared, repeatedly waving his hands.
He would definitely not overestimate himself in this regard. Among the three of them, he, Zhu Huicang, had the lowest facial appeal, although he, Zhu Huicang, was definitely not an ugly man. But anyway, the medical field is not about competing in looks; itâs about technical prowess.
Ren Chongda turned his head once more to compare his two classmates.
In terms of looks, indeed, Cao Yong was much more appealing than Zhu Huicang, already the top campus heartthrob at school. In terms of skills, Cao Yongâs reputation in the surgical community was already well-known nationwide, much higher than Zhu Huicangâs as well.
Whenever a student came over to meet the three of them, the first person they would fawn over and idolize was always Cao Yong. Nobody would go to either him or Zhu Huicang first.
Speaking of which, that sole female student in his class who wasnât a little princess, Xie Wanying, was really different from others!
Ren Chongda thought about it for a while but couldnât come up with a reasonable explanation.
Meanwhile, he and Zhu Huicang discovered once again that their campus heartthrob classmate, Handsome Cao, was staring at the little junior sister in a daze again.
Zhu Huicang whispered in his ear: âIâve never seen him like this. However, the girl from your class is beautiful.â
Ren Chongda could walk into his own class on the first day and call someone a little princess; obviously, if that person wasnât beautiful enough, he, Ren Chongda, probably wouldnât have been able to joke like that and would have been ridiculed by all the boys in the class. Because no one would acknowledge it.
It was said that because of this, someone proposed today to re-select the school beauty.
Yet, Cao Yongâs behavior still surprised both of them.
Handsome Cao, Cao Yong, had been chased by girls since elementary school, including countless beauties. Having encountered numerous women, they had never seen Cao Yong stare at a girl as intently as he did tonight.
How weird?
Ren Chongda touched his forehead.
Having heard some rumors, Zhu Huicang continued asking while leaning on Ren Chongdaâs shoulder: âDid you invite him to dinner? He mentioned it. Did you ask him about something from your class?â
Seeing people moving around, Ren Chongda said, âLetâs go inside and have dinner first before we talk. Youâve been busy all day at the hospital, you must also be hungry.â
Speaking of hunger, he was indeed hungry. As a surgeon, standing all day with hardly a chance to sip water, it was extremely draining. After work, Zhu Huicang admitted: âI nibbled on two biscuits before coming over.â
âLetâs go in, letâs ask the chef to cook a few more dishes,â Ren Chongda beckoned with his hand.
The others followed him into the restaurant.
Xie Wanying had intended to just greet the counselor and leave, but alas, the counselor didnât even bring up what heâd wanted to talk about with her.
A group of people made their way into Awang Stir-fry Restaurant. Hidden in a corner, this place seemed to have fewer customers compared to street-side restaurants, providing ample privacy and a good space to talk. The three teachers sat down at the table. Xie Wanying stood for a while.
âYou sit,â Ren Chongda spoke.
Just as Xie Wanying was about to move a chair over, someone brought a chair to her and said with a warm voice, âPlease sit.â Looking up, she realized it was the famous Handsome Cao who had moved the chair for her.
