Ren Chongda couldnāt let the classās little princess do all the heavy lifting, so he called two boys over to do the labor, acting as the little princessās assistants.
Seeing everyone gathered, Ren Chongda pointed at the two boys and said, "Listen to her instructions, do whatever she tells you."
Li Qiāan and Feng Yicong thought that the female top student arranged things efficiently, and they had no objections.
When the three students came in, they had already seen the anatomical research office materials piled up on the floor of the office, all of which needed to be sorted and classified by the end of the day, a heavy task.
"Take your time. If itās not done by noon, Iāll order lunch for you three. Let me know what you want to eat." When calling students for work, a teacher at least needs to treat them to a meal. Ren Chongda cheerfully told them to order whatever they wanted to eat.
"Yingying, what do you want to eat?" Li Qiāan first asked the clever Student Xie.
Student Xie didnāt care about food at all, crouching on the ground filtering through documents, as if she didnāt hear him speaking.
"Instead of asking her, why donāt we decide for her?" Feng Yicong whispered to Li Qiāan, "Letās take advantage of the counselor and order KFC."
Li Qiāan was sweating, with the counselor listening beside them.
"KFC, is it?" Ren Chongda silently cursed the brat, clearing his throat, "No problem, Iāll order a family bucket for you."
"Thank you, counselor!" Feng Yicong responded first, "Sorry to trouble you, counselor, but Iād like a large cup of Coke and a large pack of fries."
"Iāll also ask for a few extra bags of ketchup for you." Ren Chongda gestured to him to zip it and turned back, remembering to add a small snack for the classās little princess, "Letās order an extra mashed potato."
After the counselor left, the three students rolled up their sleeves and worked harder.
No teachers were in the office. Feng Yicong sneakily poked his head around, and then tiptoed to the counselorās desk.
"What are you doing?" Li Qiāan, seeing his sneaky behavior, called out worriedly, "The teacher will see when they get back."
"What are you afraid of? You stand at the door and keep watch for me." Feng Yicong pointed to the door and told him.
"What are you looking for?" Xie Wanying noticed that Student Feng seemed preoccupied and asked.
"Iām checking if thereās any response to the internship application I wrote for Guo Zhi Hospital." Feng Yicong buried his head and rummaged through the pile of documents on the desk with both hands, knowing that the teacher wouldnāt leave important items they didnāt want them to see on the desk, so this didnāt count as snooping, "The counselor said if thereās a response, they wonāt necessarily tell me. I always have to know why they rejected me."
Student Feng was determined to go to Guo Zhi.
Li Qiāan sighed, as graduation approached, most of his classmates were going their separate ways, which was quite poignant.
"Why go to Guo Zhi? I donāt like Guo Zhi." Li Qiāan attempted to change his mind again, "The class president and the rest all want to stay at Guoxie, including Yingying."
"Who told you that Yingying necessarily thinks the same way and wonāt go to Guo Zhi? Guo Zhi has good technology, who wouldnāt want to work at a hospital with good technology. If you donāt want to go, they might not even want you." Feng Yicong rolled his eyes at him and then raised his eyebrows at Xie Wanying, "Right, Yingying?"
Xie Wanying didnāt know how to respond. She always thought there was no rush since the internship period wasnāt over.
Suddenly, Feng Yicong spotted something in the pile of documents, and his eyes froze.
The sound of footsteps came from the doorway, startling the three students inside to jump up. Feng Yicong dropped the slip of paper in his hand and ran back to his original position, standing between the other two students as if nothing had happened.
