"Weâre saved?!"
In the heat of battle, a human soldierâs eyes were bright yet vacant.
Though he was still alive, a Snake Person had bitten through the leather armor on his arm, infecting him with venom.
Without intervention, he would soon transform into one of the terrifying Snake People himself.
Of course, if he didnât want to become a Snake Person, there was only one way outâsuicide.
There were many other soldiers in his situation on the very front lines of the ramparts.
After all, any soldier or Professional who had gone up on the wall for this battle never expected to survive.
Their grim calculus had always been: kill one Snake Person to break even, kill two to make a profit. If they were infected, they would take their own lives before the transformation was complete.
It was cruel, but that was reality.
Of course, there were certainly those unwilling to commit suicideâquite a few, in fact. After all, who truly wants to die?
But their ultimate fate was to be slain by the comrades behind or beside them!
Thus, for these human soldiers and Professionals already infected with venom, the Miracle unfolding before them no longer mattered.
But for those who were not infected, it was the ultimate lifeline.
"The Deities have finally witnessed our valor!"
"Weâre saved! Brady County is saved!"
"..."
Countless people cheered.
After all, to them, the seven-colored flash was so divine that it simply couldnât be the work of the Snake People.
In fact, in this world, the Snake People had never, from beginning to end, received any aid from their so-called Snake God.
And so, as countless eyes watched, the seven-colored flash of light began to change rapidly.
In the blink of an eye, the flash of light transformed into a ring about thirty meters in diameter.
It simply stood there, silent and upright!
Seeing this, the High Tier Snake People in the rear couldnât help but let out terrifying hisses.
At the sound of the hissing, the Snake People attacking the nearby wall immediately broke off and charged toward the seven-colored gateway.
However!
RAT-A-TAT-TAT!!!
As the bizarre staccato sound rang out, torrents of bullets cut down swathes of Snake People as they charged the Light Gate, sending them to the land of the dead.
From within the Light Gate, ten âhumansâ were the first to step out.
These âhumansâ wielded Gatling-style heavy machine guns, relentlessly strafing the surging tide of Snake People!
At the same time, they quickly fanned out, forming a perimeter around the Light Gate.
Then, a steady stream of more âhumansâ began to pour out of the Light Gate!
All of these âhumansâ were armed with heavy machine guns, and some even shouldered what looked like rocket launchers, firing them in succession at the Snake People.
BOOM! BOOM!!!
A series of explosions tore through the Snake Peopleâs ranks!
Gore and viscera flew through the air, accompanied by the panicked hisses of the Snake People.
"What in the world are these things?"
Watching the figures in their identical sky-blue uniforms and of the exact same height, it wasnât just the Snake People who were dumbfounded; even many of the humans on the wall were completely bewildered.
However, before either the Snake People or the humans could react, an endless stream of more âhumansâ poured out from the Light Gate.
Behind them, what looked like âtanksâ and âsupply trucksâ even began to roll out one after another!
Once their numbers reached about one thousand of these strange âhumansâ, along with nearly a hundred assorted combat vehicles, the Light Gate vanished.
But the firepower of these one thousand soldiers alone was enough to cause the utter collapse of the Snake People in this environment, which was starved of Magic Power!
Thatâs right.
These figures emerging from the Light Gate were none other than murder robots from the Star Empire.
They had simply all been manufactured with the appearance of humans.
It wasnât just their appearance; without scanning them with Spiritual Magic Power, no one could tell their cores were a composite of metal and magic materials.
As for the tanks, supply trucks, and other vehicles, they were all manufactured based on Blue Star models.
Their combat effectiveness was designed to be just moderate enough for the task.
There was no need to deploy things like drones.
This was the Star Empireâs plan for its ârescueâ of the mortal realm within the Square World.
Because these units were merely consumables.
They were products designed to win hearts and minds, destined to be sacrificed at any moment to curry favor.
âWhat a joke!â
âWhere did these bizarre things come from?â
âThis canât possibly be a boon granted by the Pseudo-Gods of this world!â
The Snake Priestess used what little Magic Power she had left to scan the battlefield.
She quickly discovered that the Magic Power these strange humans exhibited was, for the most part, only at the Low Tier.
She even quickly discovered that these figures who looked like humans werenât human at all.
Furthermore, it seemed a terrifyingly potent source of Energy was driving them from within.
âAlchemy Puppets?â
Alchemy could be considered a creation of the Deities, but those bizarre, highly destructive weapons were completely alien to the style of this world.
"Who cares what they are! High Priestess, let us test their strength!"
A High Tier Snake Person, confident in their physical resilience, immediately volunteered to test the murder machines.
This time, the Snake Priestess did not stop them.
She nodded, her expression grim.
After all, if she didnât send High Tier Snake People to stop them, those one thousand strange alchemical creations in the distance would likely kill all the Middle-Low Tier Snake People in the area very quickly.
The reason was simple: the firepower of these murder machines was too intense!
Without any Magic Power for protection, even a Middle Tier Snake Person couldnât survive a single blast from one of those rocket-like Magic Crystal Bombs.
