The reason Qian Song was so focused on her was twofold. First, she was the person Qian Xingxing was heavily promoting. Second, her name had come up in front of Qian Duoduo.
Qian Song wanted Wang Henli to take her down before she could even make it to the streamer PK competition, all to prove a point to Qian Duoduo.
âSee? The streamer Iâm backing is still number one in the category.â
âMeanwhile, the streamer your precious son picked out is embroiled in scandal and canât even make it into the streamer PK.â
He wanted to tell Qian Duoduo that even his judgment could be flawed, and that the person Qian Song had chosen was a more formidable veteran than the one Qian Xingxing had picked.
Of course, things werenât quite working out at the moment.
But it didnât matter. Once the PK competition began, he could just pit Wang Henli against her. A victory for him would still be a show of force.
He was his fatherâs most exceptional son, the companyâs most brilliant heir.
Qian Xingxing was nothing more than a spoiled brat from a rich family who was lucky in birth.

A dark cloud hung over Wang Henli as he drove his hovercar home.
Pushing open the door to his home, he was met with the sound of a woman and a child joking and laughing, a sound that grated on his ears.
His face dark, he strode quickly to the sofa.
The moment they saw him, the smiles of the people in the room vanished.
The woman with dark hair and big eyes was the first to stand up, asking softly, "Henry, whatâs wrong? Was it a bad day at work?"
His only response was the sound of a glass shattering on the floor. "What? You knew I had a bad day at work, yet youâre still here having so much fun?"
"I..."
"Get to your room. Donât stand here and ruin my mood." Wang Henliâs face was grim as he opened his terminal.
The woman lowered her head, tears welling in her eyes. Then she scooped up the girl standing by the corner of the sofa and hurried into the room.
As they left, the little girl opened her big, beautiful brown eyes and whispered, "Mommy, how come Daddyâs back so early today?"
"Mommy doesnât know either." The woman stroked the little girlâs head.
The little girl murmured, "Oh," and buried her head in her motherâs arms, thinking, âItâd be so much better if he never came home at all.â
After calming her daughter, the woman opened the door a crack to peer into the living room. That volatile man seemed to have reined in his temper and was now chatting with someone. From the way he addressed the person... âRanran. Oh, so heâs talking to *that* woman. No wonder he sounds so gentle.â
In the living room, Wang Henli was discussing the matter with Li Ran in a surprisingly polite tone.
"Ranran, have you been following up with the studio about that streamer?"
"What about her?"
âFrom the sound of it, she hasnât been following up?â
Wang Henli patiently relayed what Qian Song had told him. "What the hell is going on? Weâve been smearing her for so long and spent a fortune, so how have her numbers not only not dropped but actually increased?"
"Uh... hang on a second."
"You never told me this was so important. I thought it was just like all the other timesâjust some run-of-the-mill, small-time streamerâ"
Wang Henli worked frequently with various studios in the industry.
The studio, Green Hills & Clear Waters, was a long-standing and capable player in the business. When Li Ran had first assessed Jiang Qiuqiu, she figured the girl had too many vulnerabilitiesâshe was young and a newcomerâso she hadnât monitored the situation too closely.
"Plus, last month I had to coordinate with the new PR department about your promotions for the December PK Month."
"Mr. Qian doesnât want this streamer in the live PK Month. Thereâs still a little time, so work your magic."
"Got it. Iâll get on it in a bit."
After giving her a few more instructions, Wang Henli ended the call and violently slammed a throw pillow from the sofa onto the floor.
âDamn it all.â
âWhy has nothing been going right lately?â
âAnd now Li Ran was dropping the ball on taking down some small-time streamer.â
