Chapter 1643: Cooperating with the Douluo Federation?

Chapter 1643: Chapter 1643: Cooperating with the Douluo Federation?

“The ultimate target of the Deep Red Realm is definitely still our Dragon Horse Binary Stars. After devouring and absorbing the Celestial Harmony Star, it will undoubtedly become even stronger. So, its target must still be the Sky Dragon Planet or the Sky Horse Star. We must defend the Dragon Horse Binary Stars with all our might, giving it no chance to exploit. It will certainly try every means to attack us. I estimate the Mother of Deep Red will attempt a forced attack when she is at her strongest state, because if we never leave the Dragon Horse Binary Stars, no matter how she tempts us, she won’t have any better options. When she attempts a feigned attack, we must give a strong counterattack, forcing her to retreat again, consuming her teleportation attempts. The Mother of Deep Red is cunning, but through this war, we can be certain that she doesn’t just desire for the Deep Red Realm to evolve into the Divine Realm, she is desperate. Hence, I suspect that there might be certain issues within the Deep Red Realm. If evolution doesn’t occur over a long time, there might be the risk of destruction. Thus, the likelihood of the Mother of Deep Red taking risks is very high. Therefore, as I’ve mentioned before, starting now, no matter what happens, the strong individuals from our two clans should never leave the Dragon Horse Binary Stars; holding firmly is the best response.”

“I agree.” The Sky Horse Sect Leader nodded very approvingly. The attack on the Sky Horse Star this time truly scared him enough; he absolutely doesn’t wish to face such a situation again.

Lan Xuanyu said, “The last point is, when dealing with the Deep Red Realm, we should use all available resources—not just ours, but any allies we can leverage.”

“Allies? Are you referring to the Douluo Federation?” The Sky Dragon Leader asked.

Lan Xuanyu nodded slightly, “Both leaders, everyone. This time, the Douluo Federation’s dispatch of the Cosmic Fleet to aid us was undoubtedly beyond all our expectations, and also beyond the Mother of Deep Red’s expectations, which forced her into a passive retreat. The display of power by the Douluo Federation’s Cosmic Fleet is also quite strong and can truly play a role in restraining or even damaging the Deep Red Realm. But why are they helping us? From a logical standpoint, this seems a bit puzzling. However, if you think carefully, their stance is very clear: they are also very worried about the threat of the Deep Red Realm to them.”

The Sky Horse Sect Leader interjected, “I have a question. How could the Douluo Federation’s Cosmic Fleet time it so well to come to our aid at such a critical moment? How did they know about the situation? We’ve always kept information related to the Deep Red Realm tightly secured.”

Lan Xuanyu replied with a bitter smile, “That, I can’t guess. They must have their channels for information. But judging by their actions, it’s clear that the Douluo Federation is deeply apprehensive about the Deep Red Realm. Compared to us, the Douluo Federation doesn’t actually hold much allure for the Deep Red Realm. Once the Deep Red Realm achieves the Divine Realm, we would be the first destroyed, with the neighboring Douluo Federation being the second. Their Mother Planet also has a high level of life energy capable of producing God-level strong individuals. Therefore, they are taking action. So, I suggest that we should attempt to establish contact with the Douluo Federation, to strive for their support and assistance during our ultimate confrontation with the Deep Red Realm. If we can secure assistance from the Douluo Federation, our chances of winning against the Deep Red Realm would be significantly higher.”

The Sky Dragon Leader asked sternly, “Wouldn’t that be inviting danger into our home?”

Lan Xuanyu replied, “In my judgment, it wouldn’t. Although the Douluo Federation wants to capture resources, the Deep Red Realm is also their arch-enemy. More importantly, in terms of individual strength, we are still much stronger. Their Cosmic Fleet might be formidable, but they cannot protect every planet. Once a full-scale war breaks out between us, it will only result in mutual destruction, which they cannot afford. Their most formidable warship is terrifying, but as long as we don’t engage head-on, it will appear cumbersome.”

The Sky Dragon Leader looked at the Sky Horse Sect Leader, “What is your opinion on collaborating with the Douluo Federation?”

The Sky Horse Sect Leader said solemnly, “To fight against the Deep Red Realm, I think it’s feasible. The support of the Douluo Federation Fleet this time has already shown goodwill towards us. Our urgent task is still to take down the Mother of Deep Red. Other matters can be discussed later. The enemy’s enemy is a friend. I think Lan is right, we should try to obtain support from the Douluo Federation. This way, we would lessen foes behind us and gain allies beside us. Why not? They have already demonstrated sincerity, and as long as we also appropriately express sincerity, there should still be opportunities for collaboration.”

The Sky Dragon Leader nodded slightly. From an interest perspective, cooperating with the Douluo Federation now is obviously very suitable. Given that the Deep Red Realm targets primarily the Dragon Horse Federation, the aid from the Douluo Federation excludes potential danger for them, while providing direct assistance to the Dragon Horse Federation.

The Douluo Federation Fleet has demonstrated strong capabilities, making them potential partners for collaboration.

“We should first attempt to contact the Douluo Federation, ideally conducting a round of negotiations, allowing them to cooperate with us in defense, mutually watching and helping each other. For this, we can pay them certain resources as a cost for assisting us in defense, and as a return gesture for their previous aid. Isn’t the Douluo Federation’s energy derived from rare metal refinement? Then let’s provide them with it.”

The energy sources used by the Dragon Horse Federation and the Douluo Federation differ; the Douluo Federation extracts energy by refining rare metals to collect the Single Positive Cycle Source Core, with energy levels varying across different rare metals. The Dragon Horse Federation, on the other hand, uses Energy Chunks obtained through purification and extraction from certain cosmic ores.

It’s hard to judge which is better, but the technologies of both federations rely on these two energy systems. Rare metals have no energy value for the Dragon Horse Federation and are not as precious as they are for the Douluo Federation. Moreover, the Dragon Horse Star System is vast, with abundant resource reserves, so a small amount of rare metals is of little consequence.

“Once contact is established, who should we send to negotiate with the Douluo Federation?” The Sky Horse Sect Leader asked the Sky Dragon Leader.

The Sky Dragon Leader said solemnly, “The matter is so significant that someone who represents both our clans must go.”

The Sky Horse Sect Leader said, “Why don’t I make the trip?”

The Sky Dragon Leader shook his head, “No, we must be prepared for the arrival of the Deep Red Realm at any time and cannot leave the Dragon Horse Binary Stars. Brother Zhong, how about you?”

Dawn Dragon Knight Zhong Zhichang nodded slightly, “I can.”

The Sky Horse Sect Leader said, “Brother Zhong indeed poses no issues. So let’s plan how to negotiate with the humans and what sincerity we can offer. It seems our technology still needs urgent upgrading. The setback this time was largely due to the technological lag. We lack sufficient Space Technology and formidable warships, which has become a significant bottleneck for us.”

Lan Xuanyu added, “Both leaders, there’s another pressing issue to address. The Celestial Harmony Star has faced another attack from the Deep Red Realm and might collapse shortly. However, accompanying us on our return, is half of the Tianhe Fleet. Over there, a forceful deterrence is needed to prevent trouble.”

His words immediately alerted the two leaders. Previously overlooked, it’s clear now that other reinforcements are also about to return, including the Tianhe Fleet of the Celestial Harmony Clan. Should the Tianhe Fleet learn that their people and Mother Planet were attacked, they would go to any lengths to return.
