ROARRR!!!!
A massive roar suddenly echoed from above the beast as Ragnar flew in from the side, and from its back, Jason watched the kneeling beast with a predatory look in his eyes! Jason held the [Deathâs Mirage] in one hand with a grip that was so tight that his knuckles were white! And the moment Ragnar was close enough to the beast, Jason leapt off its back and plummeted down towards it! Jason felt the cold winds slam into his face, and he ignored the biting cold as he gripped his sword with both hands and pulled back for a downward stab while pouring more than a million units of pure mana into the sword! The Deathâs Mirage glowed with the bright purple light of death itself as it grew into a massive blade of pure mana, and Jason let out a deep roar as he thrust the sword down into the Beast!
STAB!
The Deathâs Mirage stabbed into the Beastâs right shoulder and pierced through its body before erupting from its chest and finally stabbing into the ground! The beast let out a guttural sound as raw pain shot through its body, and it fell to its knees and lowered its head in pain. Jason breathed heavily as he fell to the ground a few meters away from the Beast. Jason could feel an electric sensation shooting through every nerve in his body and he put his hands on his knees and let out a few ragged breaths before he finally looked up at the beast!
Ba-Dump!
Jason felt his heart rate jump when he saw it staring right back at him! The look in the beastâs eyes had suddenly changed from anything Jason had ever seen before! That primal anger and rage that Jason had once seen in there was now gone, and in its place was a calm focus that Jason had never seen before. It was as if the beast was looking through Jason and seeing everything about him, and Jason glared right back at it!
âMy king, we have to go! The beast is healing!â
Azrael spoke up in a hurry as it noticed that the wound on the beastâs body was already starting to close up, and Jason finally decided that it was time to leave. He stepped back and called all his subordinates back into his Alternate Dimension. All the subordinates vanished at Jasonâs command, and Jason immediately activated a Legion-based skill!
[Kingâs Substitute] has been activated!
Jason immediately switched places with the Rook Rank III dragon that had been with Gina, and he reappeared beside Gina and stumbled with a grunt.
âIâm fucking exhausted. How much stamina did I use?â
Jason took in a few more deep breaths, and he felt Gina put her hand on his back softly before she asked him if he was alright. Jason nodded as he allowed Gina to raise him back up to full height, and he took in one more deep breath and sighed. Gina had a worried look on her face as she saw Jasonâs tired and ruffled appearance. Gina knew that Jason must have gone through a lot fighting against that beast, and she hated the fact that she hadnât been there to help him out. But it was alright now. They were both alive, and that was all that mattered.
"Come on, letâs get out of here."
Gina wrapped her hand around Jasonâs shoulder and helped to support his weight as she said this, and Jason smiled at her thankfully as they both walked into the Dimensional Circle and vanished from this world.
On the other side of the world, the Beast of the Apocalypse released a deep, rumbling grunt.

[Radagan]
[The Royal Castle]
Riyala walked through the halls of the castle with calm poise as she made her way towards the throne room. On either side of her, servants and soldiers bowed their heads respectfully as she passed them, and there were many handmaidens following behind her reverently while waiting for any commands that she might have for them. Right now, Riyala was on her way to the throne room because of a message that she had received from the King of Radagan a few minutes ago. A delegate from the Machina race had arrived on Radagan, and they were seeking an audience with Riyala. Riyala had been stalling the payment of the Gold coins that the Overlord had asked for all this time, and she already anticipated that something like this would happen eventually, so she wasnât surprised by the delegateâs appearance, but that didnât mean she wasnât slightly nervous for the upcoming meeting.
It had already been nearly two months since Jason and Gina went on their journey across the Dimensional Expanse, and even though Riyala knew that both of them were still alive and safe, she couldnât help but be worried for them. Riyala was certain that the Machina didnât have Jason or Gina yet, so right now she decided that she would just put her trust in her lover and focus on trying to push this payment back for even longer!
Riyala finally reached the large doors that led into the main throne room and the guards at the door bowed before they opened the doors to let her in. The long table at the center of the room had already been filled with delegates from the various tribes of Radagan, and the delegate from the Machina race had been given a seat at one head of the table that was facing an empty seat where Riyala was going to stay. Riyalaâs father, the current king, was also in the meeting, but he sat at one of the high chairs on Riyalaâs right-hand side since everyone knew that Riyala was the highest authority in this world. Once Riyala appeared, all the Radagan elites stood from their chairs in respect, and Riyala moved to sit down calmly before she finally looked around and motioned for everyone to sit down.
The delegate from the Machina was still seated, and he had his hands folded together with a look of slight annoyance on his face as he stared at Riyala. This delegate was different from the Emissary that had come to announce the Overlordâs decision the last time, and Riyala noticed that this Machina was slightly younger than the Emissary. The delegate had short blond hair and a youthful face, and he only had about half of his left replaced by robotics, so it was obvious his Cybertronic Gene was not yet as strong as the other Machina.
