Chapter 1548: Chapter 1548: Outsiders Taking Sides

Ye Fei and Zhuo Feng’er saw the video in the first place. They didn’t need to watch it to know it wasn’t Zhuo Feng’er, because Ye Fei had absolute trust in her. She had only been with him and no one else.

After a few glances at the video, Ye Fei was even more certain that it wasn’t her, not even a bit similar.

Unlike netizens who were vague and indecisive, Ye Fei knew Zhuo Feng’er inside out, every part of her body.

This whole thing was disgusting. First, they hired internet trolls to slander Zhuo Feng’er and her movie. When the two of them confronted the issue directly and the other side couldn’t produce any real dirt, they came up with this video.

If before it was just throwing mud, now it was throwing feces.

The mastermind behind it was undoubtedly Long Entertainment. So Ye Fei immediately traced the account that first exposed the video.

Following the IP address, he quickly locked onto an IP from a commercial office building in Haicheng. Haicheng… Ye Fei thought for a moment, then made a call.

He contacted the bald guy who had been idle since returning from the US and gave him instructions. The bald guy immediately took the order.

On this side, before Zhuo Feng’er could react, a friend of hers from the past, also a female celebrity but one who had never really taken off in her career, jumped out.

She had kept in touch with Zhuo Feng’er occasionally over the years, but they weren’t close.

After seeing the video, she immediately posted on her Weibo, “I don’t know who is so malicious as to spread such a video to slander Feng’er. I’ve known her for years. She has always been of good character. And the woman in the video is definitely not her. I can guarantee this with my own integrity. I ask netizens to stay rational and not spread such videos. This is not the right way to go. I also hope the relevant departments will immediately investigate and track down the video’s uploader. Such people are too disgusting!”

This woman posted several Weibos in a row, all condemning the rumor-mongers and strongly supporting Zhuo Feng’er. Ye Fei and Zhuo Feng’er were a bit surprised to see this.

Zhuo Feng’er even said, “True character is revealed in times of trouble. This friend has rarely contacted me these past few years. She’s risking offending Long Entertainment by speaking out now. Her future path won’t be easy!”

“That’s assuming Long Entertainment remains standing. If they dare to do this, Long Entertainment will definitely fall, I promise! Hah, to use such a disgusting trick, Xia Hai, oh Xia Hai, this time you’ve really gone too far!” Ye Fei said coldly.

Whether or not it was Xia Hai and his people who did it, Ye Fei would hold them responsible for using such a despicable tactic.

So people must have a bottom line. One can’t go too far. Long Entertainment, probably used to being the top dog in the industry for too long, had become too arrogant and had no bottom line. They were also good at using despicable tricks.

But that was also because there were too few scandals on Zhuo Feng’er.

Long Entertainment had almost no dirt to use as ammunition, except for the gossip between her and Ye Fei. But the two of them had never denied it and had pretty much made it a public relationship.

But they still shouldn’t have used that trick, using a pornographic video to slander someone. In the entertainment industry, once a news story involves pornography, gambling, or drugs, it immediately sparks a discussion.

In the end, the one involving drugs is unforgivable.

No matter how good an actor’s acting is, no matter how good-looking they are, no matter what the circumstances, if they touch this red line of drug involvement, it’s unforgivable.

Fans often beg for their idols to be forgiven once, but who speaks for the sacrificed anti – drug police officers?

As for the first two… gambling generally won’t ruin someone, but pornography can. Some stars, when exposed for cheating within marriage, can have their careers ruined.

Or take the case of a famous pure – and – innocent actress from a few years back who was exposed for a large number of videos on a computer, leading to many years of obscurity.

Splashing this kind of filth on a female artist basically makes it impossible to clean off. Because netizens, or the general public, are not all clear – headed.

Many people, once they see the video, won’t bother to discern the truth. They’ll just have an impression in their minds: “Ah, this female artist actually did that kind of thing. She’s such a slut.” Or they might just take it as a fact. How can you clarify things with such people once this kind of impression is formed?

So some damage to reputation, some changes in impression, are permanent and irreversible. Many artists, on the surface, are very careful about their image and won’t easily destroy it. But they can’t stop malicious people from splashing filth.

This is the bottom line. You can attack the movie, that’s fine. It’s their first time making a movie, after all. There are always shortcomings in various aspects.

Not only is Zhuo Feng’er a new director, but many people in the crew were also temporarily assembled. They haven’t collaborated much, and their experience and background may not be sufficient.

The actors are also not well – known. So Zhuo Feng’er knows she has to humbly accept criticism. But the other side just sprays without reason, with a biased stance from the beginning, which is intolerable.

When you’re in the industry, you have to follow some bottom lines. Some red lines must not be crossed!

” This person is worth befriending. How is she now?” Ye Fei asked, looking at the friend who spoke up for Zhuo Feng’er, even risking offending Long Entertainment.

Zhuo Feng’er hummed in agreement and said, “Honey, I understand what you mean. Let’s talk about this later. She’s a good friend!” Zhuo Feng’er nodded and said.

Ye Fei didn’t say anything further. It was enough that Zhuo Feng’er understood his meaning.

At this moment, the internet was boiling. To their surprise, after the second- and third-tier female entertainers spoke up, another female star soon stood out.

She didn’t post the video or take any screenshots. Instead, she directly said, “I’ve known Zhuo Feng’er for many years. She is one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen, and she also has a great personality.

When we were on the same stage years ago, she was still a young girl but was very considerate.

Of course, that’s not what I want to talk about. I’ve been in the entertainment industry for many years. I know there are good people and bad people in this circle.

But I still hope everyone competes based on acting skills, singing abilities, and real talent, not by slandering and defaming behind people’s backs, or by splashing filth.

To defame a woman in this way is really despicable. I’ve said all I want to say. I don’t know who’s behind this, but I really don’t want you to defame and humiliate a woman like this!”

“Is this Qingning… your friend?” Ye Fei asked after reading it.

Zhuo Feng’er pursed her lips and shook her head, “Not my friend, but she is my senior. She made her debut early and became famous at a young age.

She holds a high position in the circle, but… she’s not from Long Entertainment. She’s from another big company!”

“It’s meaningful to have such an identity, but it’s really not easy for her to stand up and speak for you,” Ye Fei said.

Zhuo Feng’er nodded, “We should be grateful for this favor. If there’s a big production or a good script in the future, we have to return this favor.”

“Of course!” Ye Fei said.

The prelude on the internet had just begun. Even the two of them didn’t expect that this incident would become a trigger, sparking a major online battle and even a shock in the entertainment industry that hadn’t been seen for many years.

Because the situation had developed to this point, and this was only the beginning…
