Jane Sampson sat up straight on the sofa but didnāt answer James Black.
Alexander Forest was grinning at the side, called out to James Black, and said with a laugh, "Isnāt your question just adorable? With two or three hours, thereās so much one could do, right little Jane?"
Alexander Forest even specifically called out Jane Sampsonās name, then sneakily said, "Do whatever you want, Iāll make sure to give you a call before I get back, just in case youāve called little brother or big brother over to keep you company, then you can have them leave early."
James Black shot a look at Alexander Forest, bristling with murder, instantly turning Alexander Forestās smile into a somber face.
"Iām just joking. How could our little Jane possibly find a big brother or little brother to play landlord with?" Alexander Forest replied dryly, "Letās go, letās go, if we donāt leave now, weāll be late due to traffic."
Only then did Jane Sampson stand up to see the two off to the courtyard. She watched James Black get into Alexander Forestās car before she ran over and tapped on Alexander Forestās window, warning, "He canāt hold stuff with his hand, keep an eye on him for me, make sure his hand doesnāt get hit by someone. He hasnāt eaten yet before leaving, youāll need to feed him something."
"One big man feeding another, that hurts the image, doesnāt it? Itās a bit inappropriate, right?" Alexander Forest shrugged, "I donāt even have a girlfriend yet, and if a beautiful girl misunderstands, it wonāt be so friendly for me, will it?"
James Black watched the wrinkled face of Jane Sampson outside the car and spoke, "I will come back to eat, just a little late."
Upon hearing this, Jane Sampson, who had been frowning with worry, immediately broke into a smile, nodded, and hummed, "Then Iāll wait to eat with you when you return!"
After that, Jane Sampson took a couple of steps back, stood at the side, and waved goodbye to the two men inside the car, "Drive slowly, and please take care of James Black for me, make sure no one touches his hand."
"Got it, got it, heard you," Alexander Forest quickly rolled up the car window, backed out of the drive, and said to James Black, "Your little Jane is a bit too much of a nag, donāt you think? She has to repeat the same thing several times."
However, a pleased smile curled up on the corners of James Blackās mouth.
She was worried about him.
Upstairs she had clung to his back, coquettishly insisting on going with him, not just wanting to have fun with him, but more likely because she was worried about him getting his hand bumped in the crowded banquet hall. She probably also feared he would have trouble holding stuff to eat or drink.
Alexander Forest was left baffled by James Blackās sudden amusement, pondering for nearly one minute without figuring out what was so funny in his previous remarks.
"But, it suddenly struck me today that your little Jane seems really clingy. Did you see her expression just now?" Alexander Forest said, "The moment she heard you would return to eat, she instantly lit up with the joy of spring."
"Youāre quite noisy," James Black snorted. Someone like Alexander Forest had no right to complain about others being noisy.
Snort, with him being like this, how dare he call his Jane Sampson a nag?
Where is she even half as talkative as he is?
Alexander Forest was left speechless, "Youāre still as unadorable as before, unlike your little Jane, who is cute and amusing."
