"Damn, thereâs more of them!" Aiden cursed under his breath, quickly controlling the Iron Dragon wings to change direction.
But the next moment, the huge Meat Mountain suddenly turned.
Hundreds of Lost Miko heads all opened their mouths at the same time.
Then, a bunch of giant ghost hands quickly shot out from the ground.
A cold, hopeless feeling filled the whole space in an instant.
Those ghost hands moved so fast that they were right under Aiden in a blink of an eye.
They were trying to grab him as hard as they could.
Dash!
The Iron Dragon wings flashed, and Aidenâs speed suddenly increased. He rushed forward, narrowly avoiding the ghost hands.
"What the hell is this thing!" Aiden couldnât help but use his detection skill in the air.

Everything was just question marks!
Aiden wanted to curse out loud.
His Class Change mission was leading him to such a dangerous place. Wasnât that a bit too crazy?
No matter what, if Aiden didnât know the Miko sisters, he would have to find other Miko to get the chance to compete for the Primordial Miko inheritance.
Otherwise, he wouldnât be able to even enter the Miko temple.
You could say that even a dozen Mythic-level Reclassers wouldnât be able to complete this task at his level.
"Damn, I still havenât even entered the Miko temple yet!"
Aiden took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. He quickly looked at the buildings below and kept changing his flight path in the air.
Fighting head-on was definitely not an option. Those two level 75 Miko couldnât even fight back against the Meat Mountain monster.
The Class Change mission couldnât be given up. It had to be completed!
Aiden remembered the simple map Rainn had drawn. He flew as fast as he could to a building that was a dozen stories high and put Cheryl down.
"Wait here. Iâll be back soon," Aiden said quickly.
Cheryl looked worried and asked, "What are you going to do? Are you going to lead the monster away like your sister?"
She had seen with her own eyes how strong that Meat Mountain monster was.
If Aiden did this, it would be very dangerous.
Cheryl bit her lip without thinking. She didnât know what to do.
Aiden nodded. If he was alone, he could use Shadow Stealth. But if he brought Cheryl, he couldnât.
Before Cheryl could say anything more, Aiden controlled his Iron Dragon wings again and flew into the air.
He not only had to lead the monster away, but he also wanted to try to find Rainnâs trail.
Now the core area of Miko City was completely chaotic. There was no need to worry about other Lost Miko noticing.
As she watched Aiden leave, Cheryl tightly held her huge staff. She bit her teeth hard, and her eyes were full of guilt and pain.
"Youâre like her, and your sister was like that too. I canât help you at all."
"Iâm not a failure!"
"Aiden..."
Cheryl didnât realize that, from some time ago, she had begun to put Aiden and her sister Rainn in the same position in her mind.
In worry, fear, guilt, and pain, Cheryl waited for five minutes, but Aiden still didnât appear.
She took a deep breath and said in a low voice, "No, I canât just do nothing."
Then Cheryl took her huge staff and tried to leave.
She couldnât help but think, what if something happened to Aiden? Like if he was caught by the Meat Mountain monster, or met some other high-level Lost Miko.
Every time she thought about this, she felt like her heart had stopped beating, like it was stabbed by a sharp knife, and it hurt a lot.
At that moment, a figure slowly stepped out from the shadow behind her.
"What are you going to do?" Aiden asked.
Cheryl stopped in her place and then suddenly turned around. She ran straight toward Aiden.
She didnât think muchâshe just instinctively hugged him, her eyes red.
"I almost thought you got hurt," Cheryl said, her voice shaking.
Aiden was a little short of breath from the big thing on Cherylâs chest. He gently patted her back and said in a soft voice.
"Relax, I wonât have any problems. By the way, I saw Rainn. She has already arrived at the Miko Temple."
"We need to hurry. Those two big Meat Mountain monsters seem to be targeting Sylvia."
"They probably also want to get into the temple. We have to finish our task before them."
Aidenâs mind was very clear. It was impossible for him to give up the Class Change mission now!
Cheryl wiped her tears with her hands and nodded. Then she followed Aiden again.
In the core area of Miko City, in the center of many dusty and broken buildings, a golden and magnificent temple stood quietly.
Aiden brought Cheryl down slowly. Rainn was already waiting there.
As soon as Cheryl saw her sister, she ran over and hugged her.
Aiden looked at Rainnâs expression and saw that, just like him, she also looked a little out of breath.
Cherylâs hug was a bit too heavy.
"Come on, letâs hurry and get into the temple," Rainn took a deep breath and quickly led Aiden and Cheryl to a golden wall.
"Did you also meet that Meat Mountain monster?" Aiden looked at Rainnâs nervous and worried expression and started analyzing instinctively.
Rainn nodded and said quickly, "Yes. The high-level Lost Miko in red robe we met was killed by that Meat Mountain monster."
"Itâs not exactly a Meat Mountain monster. I checked its information. Its name is Aberrant Fleshweaver, Legendary Rank, level 90."
Legendary Rank? Level 90?
Aiden took a deep breath. Thatâs why his detection skill didnât work at all.
But why would an Aberrant Fleshweaver appear in Miko City?
Both Cheryl, Rainn, and Sylvia showed reactions that made it clearâAberrant Fleshweaver wasnât supposed to be in Miko City.
"I know what youâre thinking, but I donât have the answer either. Right now, the most important thing is to get into the temple," Rainn said, unusually decisive.
Soon, the crack on Rainnâs forehead slowly opened. A white eye quickly left her body and flew into the air.
Then, the white eye slowly moved toward the golden wall of the temple.
In the next moment, the white eye fully merged into the wall.
The ground under Aidenâs feet started to shake. A staircase appeared below the golden wall, leading downward.
"Go!" Rainn went in first.
Cheryl followed right behind her, and Aiden walked in last.
As soon as he entered, the ground shook again, and the entrance they came through quickly disappeared.
Seeing this, Aiden frowned a little, but when he saw that Rainn looked normal, he immediately understoodâthe Miko temple probably had other exits.
"Okay, now you can tell me what youâre going to do," Rainn said, not in a hurry, and looked at Aiden.
Aiden answered directly, "Simple. Just kill a temple guard thatâs level 55 or higher."
Rainn leaned forward a little and widened her eyes.
"Are you going to kill a temple guard?"
Aiden nodded, thinking to himself, maybe something bad will happen again.
Rainn said that as long as they didnât attack the temple guards, there wouldnât be much danger inside the temple.
But if they attacked even one temple guard, all the guards in the temple would become angry.
"So, Iâll get the Primordial Mikoâs inheritance first. Then we can find another exit and figure out a way for you to kill a temple guard. How does that sound?" Rainn said.
Aiden had no problem with that. He didnât know anything about this place, and the best idea was to follow the Miko sisters.
After all, there were at least two Aberrant Fleshweavers outside, and it wasnât safe to go out.
"Okay, now you both need to follow me closely. This is the first floor of the temple. Thereâs a trial room. Only when a Miko completes the trial will the path to the next floor open."
"Come with me," Rainn said, leading the way.
She didnât walk very fast. She often had to stop and find her way.
It took about ten minutes before an egg-shaped room appeared in the middle of the large hall.
"Found it. This is it," Rainn said, taking a deep breath. She told Cheryl and Aiden to stay outside and keep watch, while she went into the room alone.
Aiden looked around the large hall. He walked toward the walls.
There were many colorful murals. Some of the buildings in the murals were exactly the same as the buildings in Miko City.
This must have shown what Miko City was like in the past.
Aiden was a little lost in the murals. From what he saw, Miko City long ago was very busy and lively. The Miko in the murals, though their faces werenât clear, showed happiness and satisfaction through their small movements.
Suddenly, Aidenâs eyes stopped on one of the murals.
It was a white mist!
"This must be the white mist outside Miko City," Aiden thought for a moment and then understood. The white mist must have existed a long time ago.
Then his eyes kept moving and finally stopped on a special mural.
This mural didnât have much content. It only used simple lines and black paint to draw a monster full of destruction, darkness, and evil.
The monster had two very black eyes. Just looking at it for a moment made Aidenâs hair stand on end.
"What do these words mean?" Aiden pointed at the text on the mural.
Cheryl looked and said casually, "Itâs the language of the Miko clan. It means âItâs coming. It has come again.â"
