âWhen did I become such a coward?â
Janet fell to her knees and put her hands over her eyes as she felt a wretched sob escape her. She couldnât believe how much of a coward she was at that moment. Was this really how she was going to keep living her life? Whenever there was any problem with her, was she just going to run away from it? When her family had problems, Janet ran away with her boyfriend, and when she had problems with her boyfriend, she ran away to her family. And now that she was having problems here, she was about to run away all over again. When did she become such a fucking coward! Janet couldnât keep living like this! Janet had to make a choice and stick to it once and for all!
Janet looked up with resolve in her eyes to try to speak to Jason, but she was shocked when she saw that Jason was no longer there! Janetâs face scrunched up in pure misery when she didnât see him anywhere, and she sobbed as she realized that Jason just didnât care anymore. Jason didnât care about her, and he didnât care what choice she made! Jason had told her what he wanted her to know, so Jason didnât need to be here anymore! The money that Jason had thrown at her was still sitting at the side, and Janet couldnât even look at it. Just being close to it made Janet feel like she was committing a sin, and she knew that touching it would stain her soul forever! Janet quickly got off the floor with her hand over her mouth and walked out of Miraâs room. Janet never noticed that Mira was awake, and she didnât see the tears that leaked out of Miraâs eyes as she curled in on herself and cried for her broken daughter. Mira had never felt like more of a failure as a mother than she did at this moment.
....
Janet left the room and went back to her own bedroom. Gina and Maya were sleeping on the bed. Maya had complained about sharing a bed with Gina, and she had even put a pillow fort between the two of them while warning Gina not to get close to her, but Maya had somehow climbed over the fort while she was sleeping, and she was now hugging Gina close while pressing her face into Ginaâs large breasts. It was a cute image, but Janet was too distracted to really appreciate it. Janet sat down on the edge of the bed so that she wouldnât bother either girl, and she just pressed her hands between her legs and stared at the ground with a faraway look in her eyes. Janet stayed like this for the next thirty minutes without moving a muscle, and her mind ran through what she was going to do next, but Janet was surprised when a voice came from behind her.
"Janet? What are you doing awake? Whatâs going on?"
Gina spoke up with a drowsy voice, and Janet turned around in surprise to see Gina rubbing her eyes while rising slowly. Gina noticed that Maya was hugging her breasts while sleeping, and she smiled and gently kissed Mayaâs head before extracting herself from the little girl so she could stand up. Maya curled in on herself and mumbled cutely before going back to sleep, and Ginaâs smile widened. This was the reason Gina could never really get annoyed with Maya, no matter how much Maya claimed to hate her. The little girl was just too cute for anyone to get annoyed with her. Gina stood up and stretched, and even with all the sad thoughts filling her head, there was still a part of Janet that felt intense jealousy when she saw how Ginaâs sexy body bent like some sort of feline goddess when she stretched. Gina was wearing a thin singlet and short shorts that exposed a lot of skin, and her large breasts and wide hips were complemented by her well-toned physique that made her look like some sort of Amazonian goddess. It wasnât fair that Gina would have so much sex appeal squeezed into one fucking body! Janet had a more modest figure, and she was also nowhere near as toned as Gina, so Janet always felt inferior whenever she tried to compare their bodies.
But at this moment, Janet couldnât really dwell on her jealousy since she was too distracted by her thoughts. Gina noticed this the moment she looked at Janet. Gina saw how Janet was dressed for travel, and she also saw the bag in Janetâs hand, and she frowned as she immediately figured out what was going on. Janet was planning to run away again. Ginaâs face immediately soured in slight anger, and Janet could feel the tension in the room growing when she saw the anger on Ginaâs face. Janetâs head fell since she knew exactly why Gina was angry, and Gina closed her eyes and eventually let out a sigh as she came over and sat down beside Janet. Gina couldnât believe that Janet was trying to do something like this again. The memories of how Jason and Mira had been hurt when Janet left the first time were still fresh in Ginaâs mind, and Gina knew that if Janet left again, then it would break both of them.
"What is wrong with you? Do you really hate your family that much?"
This was the first thing that Gina said to Janet, and she saw how Janet flinched like she had been slapped. Janet put her face in her hands and let out a shuddering breath as she said.
"Thatâs not why Iâm doing this. You wouldnât understand."
"Make me understand. Tell me why youâre willing to leave your family behind to go be with some bastard on the other side of the country."
Janet turned to Gina and seethed at her in anger!
"Donât call him that."
Ginaâs face soured, and she spat poison back at Janet.
"And why the fuck shouldnât I? He convinced you to leave your family when they were at their lowest, and you chose him over them. You were a fool, and he was a bastard, and thereâs nothing that will change that."
"You... you just wouldnât understand. Your life is perfect, everything worked out just fine for you. You and Jason are the perfect couple, and youâre both rich and powerful! Thatâs fucking great. But not everyone can be as perfect as the both of you! Some of us fall in love, and nothing works out for us! We just have to suffer through everything so we can be with the one we love! And you have no right to judge me! Because I know if Jason had asked you to leave your family and run away with him, you wouldnât have even given it a second thought! You would have left with him just like I did!"
Janetâs voice had risen slightly in the middle of her rant, and she glanced back when she heard Maya mumbling quietly in her sleep. But thankfully, Maya didnât wake up, and Janet let out a tense breath before she finally let out a calming sigh. Gina felt her own anger bleeding away as she turned to glare at the floor. Janetâs words had struck her deep, and Gina knew that, in a way, Janet was right. If Jason had come to her and told her that they needed to run away from home in order to be together, then Gina wouldnât even think twice about it. She loved Jason too much to choose anyone else over him. But...
"That doesnât mean that Jason is the same as this bastard. I love Jason, just like I know you love your boyfriend. But at the same time, I know Jason loves me, and I know the sort of person Jason is. Someone who loves you wouldnât make you leave your family behind and run away with him. And if he was going to do something like that, then he would at least have a damn good reason for doing it. You need to rethink your life, Janet. Does this man really love you, or is he just stringing you along because he knows youâll never say no to him?"
