"Does this man really love you, or is he just stringing you along because he knows youâll never say no to him?"
Janetâs hands were joined in a tight squeeze as Ginaâs words tore through her defenses. Janet knew that there was some truth in Ginaâs words. Janet had already suspected that her relationship was just something of convenience. Janet had gone to him because she missed her father, and he had been with her because she was available. That wasnât a relationship that was ever going to last. But Janet had refused to listen to that part of her heart that warned her about what she was doing. She was just so stupid!
Tears fell from Janetâs eyes as she slowly began to realize how much pain she had caused her own family all this time, and Gina put her hand on Janetâs back and rubbed it softly as Janet spoke up.
"I know things havenât been going well for him and me for the past few months, but... I donât know if I still have a place here. Mum looks like she accepts me, but I can tell sheâs still angry at me for leaving. Maya doesnât even know that I abandoned her, and every time she smiles at me, it hurts like knives in my heart. And Jason... Jason hates me so much. He doesnât even look at me like a sister anymore; Iâm just a disease to him. Sob~! I canât live like this. I donât know what to do."
Gina continued to rub Janetâs back as Janet cried profusely. Gina always knew that there was a lot of baggage that needed to be unpacked in this family, but even though things were bad, Gina was sure that it wasnât unsalvageable. The family members just needed to learn how to fucking talk to one another. Gina spoke up with a kind tone.
"I know things arenât looking good right now, but this is the price you have to pay for your actions. You set this road for yourself, and you need to walk it. But if you run away now, the family is never going to forgive you. They need to know that youâre willing to stay and mend the broken bridges. You need to put in effort. I know Jason better than anyone in the world, and Iâm sure that he still loves you. You just have to show him that youâre worthy of his affection. Do you understand?"
Janetâs face was wet from the tears falling down her cheeks, and she had a miserable look on her face as she nodded to Gina. Gina gently used her thumb to clean Janetâs tears, and Janet looked down at the ground for a moment before she spoke softly.
"I donât know if itâs going to be that easyâ"
"Youâre family, Janet. And if thereâs one thing I know about Jason, itâs that he loves his family more than anything."
Janet sniffled, and she turned to press her face into Ginaâs shoulder as she cried miserably. Janet still didnât think that it was possible to mend what had happened in the past, but since Gina believed in her so much, she knew that she could at least try.

[Seventy Dimensional Leaps Away From Earth]
[The World of Ropal]
Ropal was a world filled with bright yellow forests that spanned for miles in every direction and covered most of the world. The world was mainly inhabited by unintelligent beasts that lived off either the grass and leaves from the trees or meat from other animals. There was no intelligent organism that could be seen as the dominant species, so the world thrived with nature encompassing all of the lands! Deep within the forests of Ropal, a lone woman could be seen sitting on a large rock in front of a flowing river. The woman had a blank look on her face as she stared at the flowing water in front of her, and she had a spear stabbed into the ground that she was leaning against.
This woman had been a prisoner up until only a few hours ago, and her unconscious body had been dropped in this world by a mysterious man who left her without any instructions or even a mission to carry out. After waking up, the woman realized that she had no idea how she had gotten here or what she was supposed to be doing. She knew her name, and as she stared into the river, she could recognize the features that stared back at her, but that was all she could recall. Her name was Evon, and she was a demon with dark red skin and poisonous yellow eyes. She was bald, and there was a horn growing from the right side of her head that circled around her temple like a crown. Her nails were long and sharp like claws, and she only had on a simple tunic that hung off her muscular body like a cape. Even though she had no idea how she got here or what her mission was, there was one word that kept on replaying over and over in her head!
âComplete! Complete! Complete! I need to be complete! Complete! Complete! Complete!â
There was a deep emptiness inside of Evon! An emptiness that was driving her insane the longer she felt it, and Evon knew that she needed to do something about this! What she needed was out there! The catalyst that would allow her to reach completion was waiting for her! She couldnât waste time! She needed to find it! Evon put her hands over her head, and she felt her nails scratch into her skin as her thoughts became even more frantic! She needed to find it! She needed to find it! It was somewhere out there, and she needed to find it!
âWhy do I need to find it!? What is it!? It doesnât matter what it is! Just find it! Find it! Donât find it! Run away! Donât run away! Find it! Become complete! I need to become complete!â
"RARGGGGHHH!"
Evon screamed in agitation as her thoughts became even more insane, and she jumped into the water and splashed around erratically while screaming that she needed to be complete! And almost like the world could hear her thoughts, there was a strange sensation that passed through Evonâs mind at that moment.
âHelp me. Please, save me.â
Evon turned her head sharply to the left when she heard that voice, and for a moment, she almost dismissed it as another hallucination in her own head, but then she felt another feeling. This time, the feeling came from a world much closer to her, and a mad smile slowly spread on her lips! This sensation! This feeling! This was it! This was what she had been searching for!
âA part of me! A part of us! A part of the shadows! Itâs there! I can feel it being used! Some foolish creature is using it! They are using my shadows!? How dare they!? HOW DARE THEY!? Iâll kill! Kill! KILL! KILL! RARGGGGHHH!!â
Evon felt pure anger rising from deep inside her, and she turned sharply when she heard something from the side!
GROWL~!
A loud growl echoed from beside her, and Evon watched as the yellow forest split open to reveal three giant creatures that looked like a cross between a bear and an alligator. The creatures had a large build with fur all across their bodies, but they also had a long tail and a protruding mouth that was filled with rows of sharpened teeth! This was a Trivator, and it was the most dominant predator in the world of Ropal!
